Healthy Recipes

I'm always looking for healthy ways to make the foods I love.  It makes eating clean way easier. I might try this pancake recipe tomorrow. Here is the link for the recipe.  Protein Pancake This greek yogurt pancake recipe looks really good also. http://www.recipegirl.com/2012/08/15/greek-yogurt-pancakes/

Starting Off

I have never had a blog before, I always thought they were kinda weird. I decided to start one because I'm really in a fitness kick right now; however, I don't want it to be a kick, I want it to be a new way of life. I wanted to have a place to write how felt about my workouts, diet, and process of changing.
I randomly started Insanity on January 19. I had started working out on January 14 because I suddenly had time(because I had a break in between classes and Marshall started daycare) , motivation and a desire (my favorite pair of jeans not fitting anymore!) to go to the gym.
I have done so great in my first month of Insanity. I only missed two days when my son was in the hospital and made up for them by doing two workouts in one day and working out on my usual off day.  I have also been doing great on my diet. For my diet, I eat 300-400 calories a meal 4-5 times a day.  I try to eat a lot of protein, low carbs, fruit twice a day, and 4-5 servings of vegetables a day. I allow myself one cheat  a week, usually a subway cookie or a serving of ice cream. I've only had a hard time with my diet when Marshall was in the hospital and out at a restaurant 2 days into Insanity.
The first month of Insanity was great for the most part, towards the end I was having a hard time pushing through the workouts in the last week when my body was sore, and I was losing motivation from not seeing progress.  The important thing is that I pushed through and have finished recovery week. I'm supposed to start month 2 on Saturday so wish me luck!
